Project goal:

Greening The Industrial City - This masterplan proposal aimed to revitalise an industrial park built over a once vibrant natural waterway. Through creative interventions, the design exposes this lost asset to green and beautify the industrial area while addressing neighbourhood concerns.

Solution:

Connecting the built and natural environment by putting people’s needs first. As the design evolves, the masterplan addressed economic and social issues by providing various building units of human scale to allow for diverse groups of users to populate them. The existing and new natural environment is reinforced and directed to unify the north and the south through the creation of green corridors connecting Slaughterhouse Bayou with the neighbourhood centre and the green edges.
